Save the date: November 29, 2016 is #GivingTuesday!
After two days focused on shopping, #Giving Tuesday is an international day of giving. Everyone, anywhere, can participate! Come celebrate with Habitat Hillsborough and pledge your support to helping families and individuals in need of affordable housing.
Families like Miriam Baker and her children have long dreamed of a home they can call their own. Miriam has worked hard for the past 15 years to provide for her children. But 50 percent of her modest income goes to rent each month, leaving little for food, health care, clothing, and other expenses. Miriam has been swinging a hammer, painting walls, and laying sod alongside hundreds of volunteers as she works on her own new Habitat home and the homes of others like hers. She’s hoping her home will be finished in time for Christmas so she and her kids can finally know that comforting feeling of being “home for the holidays.”
