JPMorgan Chase partners with Habitat Hillsborough to build for Pierrelus family
Joel Pierrelus’ dream of a secure home for his three young children is about to come true thanks to some old fashioned hard work on his part and the efforts of Habitat for Humanity of Hillsborough County and JPMorgan Chase & Co. JPMorgan Chase & Co. JPMorgan Chase has partnered with Habitat Hillsborough to build a home in Lutz for the Pierrelus family. A team of employees from JPMorgan Chase volunteered on the Habitat build site on Saturday, June 17th and other teams of JPMorgan Chase employees will join forces to help with the construction of Pierrelus’ home in September.
JPMorgan Chase is contributing $20,000 in construction funding for the Pierrelus home, which is part of the firm’s national partnership with Habitat for Humanity International. In addition, JPMorgan Chase staff members will invest hundreds of hours to volunteer during all phases of the home’s construction.
“I am grateful to Habitat and JPMorgan Chase for providing me the opportunity to buy a home that I can afford ” said Pierrelus, who will complete 300 sweat equity hours and 15 classes to fulfill Habitat Hillsborough’s program requirements before purchasing his zero-interest mortgage.
