Habitat Hillsborough accepting applications for Veterans Build Cottage
Our Veterans Initiative program is already planning our Veterans Build Cottage for our annual Veterans Build in November 2020! If you are a local veteran seeking affordable homeownership, we could be building for YOU!
This home is universally designed for our veterans to age in place, and additional modifications can be planned for the homeowner as needed. At 850 sq.ft., this 2 bed /1 bath unit is perfect for a single or small size family.
Homes are also Energy Star certified, saving home-owners over $1,000 in energy bills per year.
The photo above shows the exterior of our Veterans Build Cottage that was completed in December 2019 for Air Force veteran Vincent Smith. The additional photos show the fully equipped kitchen and bathroom with accessible walk-in shower and sink, as well as the rear entrance and garage.
