Habitat for Humanity of Hillsborough County is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization serving Hillsborough County, Florida. We build and renovate homes in partnership with individuals and families in need of decent, affordable housing. Habitat for Humanity of Hillsborough County is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International.
Are homes given away?
No, homes are sold to eligible homeownership applicants who help build in a process known as “sweat equity”. Homebuyers purchase their homes with an affordable mortgage.
Do you have a home repairs program?
Yes. We have a Home Preservation Program that offers home repair services in accordance with specific criteria. More information can be found here.
How do you obtain funding?
Habitat for Humanity of Hillsborough County receives funding through a variety of sources including: mortgage payments from Habitat for Humanity homeowners, individual donations, corporate contributions, gifts from faith communities, private and governmental grants, special events, and ReStore proceeds.

There are many ways to help advance the mission of Habitat for Humanity in Hillsborough County. You can donate funding to help sponsor home construction.
